Growing membership with a soft touch
The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) is the largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States. Their commitment to “improving end-of-life care and enhancing the quality of life for people dying in America and their loved ones” is reflected in the designs of all their printed and online resources. The 2010 and 2011 membership guides were no different. A water-based, soft aqueous coating on the brochures’ outer covers created a velvety finish. This soft-touch treatment and warm, elegant design reemphasized NHPCO’s vision of “a world where individuals and families facing serious illness, death, and grief will experience the best that humankind can offer.”
